Gypsy Wind

Gypsy Wind is a song title by Dan Fogleberg on his Phoenix album.  My relationship with Tanya was fresh and new and I had this idea.  The idea was to write a poem, but not just a poem, a poem of song titles.  These titles referred to songs and these songs had to fit on a standard 90 minute cassette, and also to fit exactly 45 minutes to a side, and of course, rhyme.  To make the feat more difficult, I had to love the songs, they had to be favorites by my favorite groups.  So here it is....

Gypsy Wind

It's late my gypsy wind

forget me not, I'm begging you

 the unforgettable fire

always with me, always with you

lift me up, hold on tight

I can't fight this feeling

hold me now, so wonderful tonight

you really got me reeling

the dog and butterfly, Romeo and Juliet

that's the way

to the land of make believe

to San Tropez

 rejoice

it's my mood for a day
