Oh Yea! I won the lotto, well, about $1600.00 or so. As luck (hmmm) would have it, it was about a week before Tanya's 38th birthday. I decided to split the winnings between bills and us. I got a table saw and a router and I got Tanya a nice rocking chair and ottoman (she was six months pregnant). I also wrote this next poem to hide the last surprise. I tried to write all in metaphors and alliteration. I think. If anyone ever asks, I'll explain the meanings. All in all it was an invitation for a small cruise to Mexico.
Poetry In Motion
There's a forest of trees red, green, yellow and blue there's a wild fire raging especially for you
if the west wind prevails to douse the flame wishes come true it's the name of the game
words are just frosting you realize it's my poetry in motion that hides the surprise
the heat of the sun the breeze in your hair watching gulls glide with hardly a care
we'll ride the waves of the Baja mar sipping margaritas aboard the Pacific Star
