Herein lies the story, or the stories that make up the part, the incomplete parts that would make the whole.

I was born on March 17, 1958 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.  I was my parent's second child, my sister Debbie was born in 1955.  When I was born, my parents were fresh back from Alaska where my father served in the Air Force, with a rank of Captain.  For about two years we lived in a village called Waite Hill (I have no memory of living there), in Lake County, near Cleveland, Ohio.  In 1960, the year my brother Scott was born, we moved to Shaker Heights, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.  We stayed there for about five years, my kindergarten and first grade.  In 1965 we moved to Pepper Pike, Ohio (still near Cleveland) and stayed there about ten years, this is where I grew up, well the early years, until I was sixteen.

In 1974, at sixteen, in the summer between my 10th and 11th grade, my family moved to Hickory, North Carolina.  The next eight years were spent between Hickory, North Carolina and Miami, Florida, where I went to college.  These eight years were the most important years of my growing up, and the adventures began.  I learned about music, it was called rock, now it is called Classic Rock.  Music was a huge impact on my life.  I had a little exposure in Cleveland and WMMS with their 24 hours of continuous quad, but the rock I began to listen to there set the stage for a lifetime of loving music.  In North Carolina, I got into a "party" crowd and no matter what we did, we had the music playing.  Pink Floyd, Yes, the Eagles, Led Zeppelin, and more.  The British bands were my favorites and I loved the sound of guitar and vocals.  I didn't care what they sang about, for me it was the vocals and not the lyrics.  Then there were concerts.....

My college time at the University of Miami was an experience and a half.  I had great friends, went to great parties, and even learned a lot.  I also learned that I no longer wanted to be a business major and after three years, I left the school to think about it.  I worked construction and did some truck driving.  Truck driving was one of the only things that didn't bore me.  I was outside, always seeing people, the countryside, and doing physical work.  I kept driving and never went back to school, I might go back when I retire.

In 1982 I moved to California with my College sweetheart, Arlene.  We pretty quickly decided on San Diego, where I've remained.  After seven years of dating, Arlene and I finally got married in 1987.  Due to mutual immaturity, it didn't last long, we were separated the next year and a few years later the divorce was final.  We stayed good friends through it all and are good friends to this day, we just went our own way.  Arlene was my first love (I had several crushes through my school years, but my shyness left them at that).
