1996 was another sad year in my life, Dakota is finally two, and that's more times than I've seen my son since April 1995.  I finally decided to get out and get some sort of a life, so I tried to have a night life.  I went out to clubs with friends and of all things, sang karaoke and drank, and almost started to smoke again.  There was a girl I met, who sang with a smokers gravelly voice and I really liked her.  We spent many nights together till I realized i meant nothing to her but some action.  She was once a clown named Bubbles, and I wrote this for her.

Bubbles

Bubbles on a windy day

So majestic as they fly

Scattering upon the breeze, every which way

But always seeming to try

To climb above, beyond and around

Spinning and soaring with never a sound

They enter the soul screaming colorful delights

Of a bountiful dream, peace

Captured in shining lights

Bubbles passing by

Take notice, but don’t cry

It’s the passage of angels

Smile and wave good-bye
