It's been six or seven years, I'd given up on the feeling, and somehow, by accident, I ended up in love with a fabulous girl named Tina. She greeted me every day I came home from work and would cook a different meal every day, never anything twice. It was amazing! She was a school teacher in Poway. She was separated from a bad marriage to someone I knew in a Jeep club. We were friends for a year or two and I helped her when no one else did. We had a couple dates just as friends because we enjoyed each others company. When she visited her relatives in Germany we stayed in touch by email. She was a bit younger than me and I knew she would never be interested, and I didn't worry about it, having such a good friend was fine. Till we kissed. It was all by accident. I was floored! We started dating seriously. Finally Tina moved in with me and life was beautiful. I think Twinkle in my Eye was written on one of Tina's month long visits to Germany.
Twinkle in my eye
A shift of your shoulder, letting loose your hair A wink of your eye, I’m so very aware Sensations run wild and I see in my mind Fingers tracing your face, you’re one of a kind
Love flowing through me, the smiles we’ve shared Happiness abounds, thrilling, our hearts have been bared It’s magical, so sensuous, your touch sets me afire Maybe your voice, maybe, sexy attire
Our bodies press close, shudder, flutter, set mood to desire Full lips to my cheek, my soul soars ever higher Not willing to stop, be there miles between Our next kiss, gentle touch, my waking dream
Till once more we meet, and sparks fill my sky You’re my girl, my heart, the twinkle in my eye
